Lafayette Square Holiday House Tour
December 8 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm$25 – $30
Experience the wonder of the holiday season by touring Lafayette Square on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The self-guided Holiday Parlor Tour begins at the Park House, 2023 Lafayette, where tour-goers pick up their tickets, starting at 9:30 am. This year’s tour features unique homes, including Victorian-era “painted ladies” and two apartments in a beautifully renovated historic building that once housed canvas awnings and mops. Visitors are also in for a musical treat; singers from Opera Theatre St. Louis will perform songs of the season at one of the tour homes.
The day-long celebration includes a Holiday Market in the Fountain Plaza on Park Avenue where visitors can shop for unique gifts, art, Lafayette Square merchandise, and sample delicious offerings from Lafayette Square’s top-rated restaurants. A feature not to be missed in the market is special guest, Santa! Tour-goers can also ride in a horse-drawn carriage through beautiful Lafayette Park.
A trolley is available to transport tour-goers around the neighborhood.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance and can be purchased online at www.lafayettesquare.org. A limited number of day of tour tickets are $30 per person. Children under 12 are free.
The Lafayette Square Holiday Parlor Tour is presented by the Lafayette Square Restoration Committee (LSRC), a non-profit neighborhood organization, which seeks to facilitate the preservation and redevelopment of Lafayette Square, respecting its special historic character and enhancing its overall livability.
